10050 Extreme Compatible 1G SFP 100m Copper Transceiver

Read plainly, the 10050 is a 1G copper SFP good for 100m over structured cabling — the Extreme-coded version of exactly that. It runs 1000BASE-T out of an RJ45 jack, so it hands off Gigabit Ethernet to twisted pair rather than fiber, which suits it to short in-rack and top-of-rack copper hops where pulling optics makes no sense. The module reports live diagnostics over DDM, giving the host link telemetry with no extra tooling.
