Reusing the 10G-SFPP-SR in place of the Brocade original is a straight substitution: a 10G SFP+ transceiver rated for 300m of short-reach service over multimode fiber. Two traced specs frame the swap in a sentence — the SFP+ host slot and the 300m MMF budget — so a rack already cabled for SR optics needs no rework. At 10G over multimode, it fits the in-building and top-of-rack spans the part it replaces was built to cover, and the SFP+ keying means it seats in the same cages without adaptation.
