The BTI-DW-ER-26-SFP+ is a 10G SFP+ optic built to the ER extended-reach specification for Telco Systems platforms. It comes up as a factory module with no host configuration, and optical power and temperature are readable in real time over DDM so link margin can be tracked from the switch. Sized for extended-reach 10G duty, it fits the longer transport hops where an SR or LR optic would fall short and an ER-class launch is what the span calls for. Coded for Telco Systems hosts, it hot-swaps into a live port and is recognized against the original part number the moment it seats.
