The DS-CWDM-1610 is a 1000BASE CWDM SFP rated to 80km, transmitting at 1610nm over single-mode fiber (SMF). Built as a compatible stand-in for the Cisco part of the same number, it presents an LC/UPC connector, operates across 0 to 70°C (32 to 158°F), and is recognized by the host as soon as it is seated. The 80km rating puts it on long CWDM spans where the 1610nm channel has been assigned to this service. It suits new channel additions and one-for-one replacements alike, since the host sees the coding it expects either way.
