As a DWDM optic, the DWDM-SFP10G-53.33 takes a single fixed slot in a dense-wavelength plan and carries 10G over single-mode fiber into an SFP+ cage through a duplex LC pair. It comes up coded to present as the Cisco part it replaces, links without any configuration step, and slots into a mux as one channel member without touching the wavelengths on either side. Diagnostics are available over DDM once the link is passing traffic.
