Adding or replacing one wavelength on a loaded DWDM link is routine only if the new optic holds its exact assignment — that is the job of the EC-25G-DWDMCh26, a 25G SFP28 for Edgecore platforms fixed on Ch26 at 1549.32nm. It runs over single-mode fiber (SMF) through a duplex LC connection and identifies itself to the Edgecore host as a compatible transceiver, with DDM/DOM diagnostics available from the moment it links.
