The HPE-10G-DWDMCh42 is a 10G DWDM SFP fixed on ITU channel 42 at 1524.11nm, running single-mode fiber out of a duplex LC as a compatible match for the HPE/Aruba part of the same number. It slots into an existing DWDM mux plan as the channel-42 member at 1524.11nm without touching neighboring wavelengths, which is what keeps a densely packed grid stable when a single member is swapped. Seating in HPE/Aruba platforms that expect this code, it links up with no setup, and diagnostics are reported over DDM so the wavelength stays observable to the same tooling.
