J8177A HP Compatible 1G SFP 100m Copper Transceiver

Spelled out, the J8177A is a 1G 1000BASE-T copper SFP reaching 100m over twisted-pair through an RJ45 interface — the HP-coded version of exactly that copper module. It is what you fit when an SFP port has to land on a copper-attached device rather than fiber. The module seats in a standard SFP cage and links up with no configuration step.
