The JD119A is a gigabit optic coded for HP switching hardware. It is a 1G LX SFP working over single-mode fiber to a 10km reach, coded to the host EEPROM. That LX build and 10km span make it a straightforward fit for campus and building-to-building gigabit uplinks on existing single-mode plant.
