FEC — read before installing: RS-FEC runs inside this module. Leave host FEC off or on auto — do not force RS-FEC on the switch port; enabling host FEC will bring the link down. The far end of the link must also be a single-lambda optic of the same type with onboard FEC.
Compatibility: The JNP-100G-DR-TFO is TenFour Optics' compatible equivalent of the Juniper JNP-100G-DR, coded per order for Juniper platforms. Juniper lists the JNP-100G-DR for use in 400G QSFP-DD ports on: ACX7100 (ACX Series), MX10004/MX10008 (MX Series), PTX10000 Series, QFX5130 Series, QFX5220 Series, and QFX5700 Series. A short single-mode optic built for intra-data-center reach, a common breakout endpoint in 100G and 400G leaf-spine designs. It lets a structured-cabling shop standardize on one fiber type end to end while still covering hall-to-hall distance. It operates 500m in the 1310nm window.
Because it is coded to the Juniper host platform, the switch or router reads it as a factory module — clean in diagnostics, free to mix with OEM and other compatible optics in the same chassis, and needing no firmware exceptions.
Each unit is programmed to match Juniper host values and bench-tested for traffic conformity, DOM-threshold accuracy, and optical cleanliness before it leaves the bench. Compliance documentation (RoHS declaration, IEC 60825-1 laser classification) is available on request for project quotes.
