The JNP-100G-ER4 is a 100G QSFP28 optical transceiver engineered as a drop-in equivalent for Juniper platforms,, a like-for-like replacement that the host accepts as native, hot-swappable and ready out of the box.
Compatibility: Documented OEM compatibility (Juniper published compatibility documentation): this module is accepted in 100G QSFP28 ports on the ACX Series, EX4650 Series, MX204/MX Series, PTX10000 Series, QFX10000 Series, QFX5120 Series, QFX5130 Series, and QFX5200 Series. Extended-reach optics push single-mode links out to metro distances, connecting sites across a city or campus where standard long-reach modules run out of optical budget. It is the right tool when the span is too far for an LR but does not yet justify coherent line-side gear. It operates 40km in the 1550nm window.
Host-programmed and qualified against Juniper platforms, it slots in beside existing OEM and third-party optics, reports clean DDM telemetry, and needs no special configuration to bring the link up.
