Single-fiber at the upstream end to 20km — that is the distinctive shape of the JNP-SFP-10G-BX20U, a BiDi SFP carrying its link over one strand of single-mode fiber. As the BX-U unit it terminates the upstream side of a BiDi pair through a simplex LC, working against a downstream module at the far end, so a bidirectional link runs on a single strand where pulling a second one is not practical. It seats in Juniper-compatible hosts, comes up with no configuration required, and reports live diagnostics over DDM once the 20km span is established and passing traffic.
