As a parallel, multi-lane optic, this module anchors high-density spine-leaf fabrics and breakout topologies, aggregating several lanes into a single high-speed port. It is a backbone component of modern data-center and AI-cluster builds, where port density and bandwidth per rack-unit are the limiting factors. It operates 10km.
Because it is coded to the Juniper host platform, the switch or router reads it as a factory module — clean in diagnostics, free to mix with OEM and other compatible optics in the same chassis, and needing no firmware exceptions.
Each unit is programmed to match Juniper host values and bench-tested for traffic conformity, DOM-threshold accuracy, and optical cleanliness before it leaves the bench. Class 1 laser certified and RoHS compliant.
