The QSFP-100G-LR4-IT runs 100G across single-mode spans up to 10km in the QSFP28 form factor, as a compatible replacement for the Juniper part of the same number. At LR4 reach it links inter-site and metro hops where 100G has to leave the rack, terminating through a duplex LC interface and coming up on the host as a recognized module — hot-swappable, with no configuration required.
