Exchanging the Arista original for the QSFP-100G-LRL4 leaves the port none the wiser: the same 100G signaling in the same QSFP28 form factor, presenting the EEPROM identity the host looks for. Nothing in the switch configuration has to move — the replacement announces itself as the LRL4 part, links at 100G, and keeps DDM/DOM diagnostics flowing to the platform exactly as before. TenFourOptics programs and verifies each serial against Arista host behavior before it is packed. In practice the changeover is limited to seating the new module.
