The SFP-10G-BX-D-20 is a 10G BiDi SFP+ built for 20km spans over a single strand of fiber, serving as the BX DOWN (BX-D, downstream) end of a bidirectional pair on Cisco equipment. Because both directions of the link share one fiber, it halves the strand count on routes where duct space or existing plant rules out a second fiber. Ends have to be matched for the link to run: this BX-D unit faces its upstream counterpart across the span, and together they hold a full 10G path over the 20km strand. Installation is a matter of seating the module and connecting the one strand it needs.
