Replacing the Arista optic of the same number, the SFP-10G-DW-38.19 keeps both the 10G rate and the SFP+ footprint of the module it stands in for, making the exchange invisible to the host and to the records around it. The EEPROM is written for Arista platforms at the factory; the port identifies the part, links, and resumes DDM/DOM reporting without a single command entered.
