Running against Cisco switching and routing gear, the SFP-10G-LR20 comes up as a native optic with no configuration required to pass traffic. It is a 10G SFP+ built to the LR specification, driving single-mode fiber to an extended 20km over a duplex LC. That 20km reach stretches a standard LR launch to the longer end of its range, which suits the metro and campus hops where a short-reach optic runs out of budget but a full long-haul part is more than the span needs. Optical power and temperature are reported over DDM for link monitoring at the host.
