SFP-BX-80-U-TFO Cisco Compatible SFP BiDi 80km SMF Transceiver

The SFP-BX-80-U is a single-fiber module equivalent to the Cisco SFP-BX-80-U. It is a 1G BiDi SFP reaching 80km over one strand of single-mode fiber, serving as the BX-U (upstream) unit that terminates one end of a BiDi pair through a simplex LC connector. Seated in a standard SFP cage, it is coded for Cisco equipment and reports live optical diagnostics over DDM. Carrying both directions on a single strand lets the 80km span run without a second fiber — the reason BiDi is chosen on long access and subscriber links.
