As a fixed-channel DWDM optic, this module transmits on a single ITU-grid wavelength so dozens of independent channels can share one fiber pair through a multiplexer. That makes it a building block of metro and data-center-interconnect backbones, where lighting more fiber is impractical and every wavelength of capacity counts. It drops into mux/demux and OADM designs cleanly, coexisting with the other channels on the grid without interference. It operates reaching 80 km on fixed ITU channel DW24.

It is programmed to present native host values, so it interoperates link-to-link with OEM modules on the far end and coexists with installed optics in the same line card without compatibility flags.

Before shipment every module is coded to the host platform, then verified for protocol conformity, diagnostic accuracy, and end-face cleanliness. Class 1 laser certified, RoHS compliant.
