Extended-reach optics push single-mode links out to metro distances, connecting sites across a city or campus where standard long-reach modules run out of optical budget. It is the right tool when the span is too far for an LR but does not yet justify coherent line-side gear. It operates 40km.

It is programmed to present native host values, so it interoperates link-to-link with OEM modules on the far end and coexists with installed optics in the same line card without compatibility flags.

We program each module to the Juniper host EEPROM and run it through traffic, DOM, and optical-cleanliness checks before it ships. Class 1 laser certified and RoHS compliant.
